Looking for some pretty poppies
to bring into your life? Well, here's a print to consider. Although
smaller than our other oriental poppy print ("Big Reds"),
this poppy watercolor print packs quite a punch on its own.
The inspiration for "Poppy Slice" was a huge clump of
red poppies growing in the front border of artist Dan Edwards'
home in the Pacific Northwest (USA); their vivid color inspired
Dan to paint the original watercolor, which he named "Big
Reds."
This particular version, however, came into being as a mini-proof
of "Big Reds," cropped during the extensive proofing
process to lower costs. Because these poppies seemed so appealing
in their lean, wide form, Dan decided to bring out a limited edition
of that print ... now called "Poppy Slice."
Unsure how this much red would look in your home? Not a problem,
because Four Winds Art (FWA) offers its customers a two-week trial.
